A mini-series depicting female emancipation in the history of a Venetian family, the Franzas. Set in Bassano where the patriarch of the family owns a distillery producing Grappa, Giovanni's family comprises of his wife Franca and their four children, Maria Teresa, Elena, Sofia and Antonio. During 1958-1985 they must overcome private and familial struggles.
