Thaïs

1917-10-03

Thaïs is a 1917 silent film directed by Anton Giulio Bragaglia, likely the only surviving Italian futurist film. The beautiful Thaïs Galitzy plays Vera, a Slavic countess, a seductress who drags married men to the brink of ruin. When she seduces the husband of her best friend, all involved meet a nasty fate. Originally running over 100 minutes, half of the film survives and is widely available.
